Acer unveils new Predator and Nitro gaming
Acer announced seven new gaming monitors across its Predator and Nitro lines at IFA, featuring refresh rates up to 1000Hz and Dynamic Frame Rate switching

Acer has announced a new lineup of gaming monitors under its Predator and Nitro brands. The company revealed the displays at the IFA trade show, with models featuring refresh rates as high as 1000Hz and dual- or tri-mode resolution switching capabilities.
Three new models join the Predator gaming series. The Predator XB253Q U1 is a 24.5-inch display offering a 1080p resolution at a 1000Hz refresh rate and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. For a larger, high-resolution experience, the Predator X32 V3 uses a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel with a 180Hz refresh rate and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400. The 27-inch Predator XB273K V7 provides UHD resolution and incorporates Dynamic Frame Rate technology to switch to a 500Hz refresh rate at Full HD.
The Nitro brand is expanding with four high-refresh-rate models, all featuring DFR switching. The lineup includes a 27-inch Mini LED model and an ultrawide curved display.

A Creator-Focused Display
Alongside the gaming models, Acer also announced the ProDesigner PE270X P, a monitor aimed at creative professionals. The 27-inch display features a native 5K resolution at 165Hz with DFR support to switch to QHD at 330Hz. It uses a 2304-zone Mini LED backlight, has VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification, and offers Delta E<1 color accuracy. It includes an Auto KVM switch and 90W USB-C power delivery. The ProDesigner PE270X P is scheduled for release in Q1 2027 with a starting price of $1,299.99 or €1,299.
KitGuru, the source of the report, noted that multi-mode functionality appears to be slowly becoming a standard feature, even on monitors designed for creative work. The publication concluded its report by asking readers if they were interested in any of the new Acer monitors.
