CyberPowerPC SLC8500WST Bundles Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5080
A new prebuilt gaming PC from CyberPowerPC pairs the Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition GPU for $2,299, a price Tom's
A CyberPowerPC prebuilt system is being offered for $2,299 with components that would cost significantly more if purchased individually. The SLC8500WST model includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card.
Tom's Hardware states the Ryzen 7 9800X3D sells for $449 and a custom RTX 5080 starts at $1,579. Together, those two parts alone total $2,028. The publication argues that finding 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for the remaining $271 of the system's price would be impossible, let alone funding the rest of the PC.
Core Component Performance
The report calls the octa-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which features 96MB of L3 cache, the best CPU for gaming. It claims the chip, which has been available for two years, still leads in performance and value over competing Intel and AMD processors.
Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition is described as one of the best graphics cards. Tom's Hardware says it delivers strong 4K performance and exceptional frame rates at lower resolutions when paired with the Ryzen CPU. The card also supports DLSS 5, a feature the publication says showed solid performance in its testing. The Founders Edition model is noted as being rare on the market.
Supporting Hardware and Value
The system is equipped with 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory. While the exact memory kit is not specified, Tom's Hardware points out that the most affordable 32GB DDR5-6000 C30 kit currently sells for $429. The PC also includes a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, with the report noting a budget model of that type typically starts at $149.
Tom's Hardware contrasts this build with other prebuilt systems that sometimes pair high-end hardware with weaker components. The report asserts the SLC8500WST makes no such compromises, calling it a solid 4K gaming machine.
| Component | Standalone Price Reference from Source |
|---|---|
| AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | $449 |
| Custom GeForce RTX 5080 (starting price) | $1,579 |
| 32GB DDR5-6000 C30 Memory Kit | $429 |
| 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD (budget) | $149 |
The publication concludes that offers like the CyberPowerPC SLC8500WST are uncommon, especially at its $2,299 price point. It suggests the deal is worth considering for anyone looking to upgrade or buy a new gaming system.
