ATK Gear has launched the Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ Magnetic Charging Dock gaming mouse. The symmetrical, medium-to-large wireless mouse is available for $69.98 on ATK's online store during a 10-day launch discount. This release follows the recent launch of the ATK Blazing Sky Phantom and continues the company's push into high-performance wireless peripherals.

The Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ uses the same symmetrical shape as previous Dragonfly A9 models. Its dimensions are 125 × 63.5 × 40 mm, placing it in the medium-to-large hand category. The mouse features curved side walls for a better grip and is finished with an all-new Nano coating.

Core technology and performance

ATK describes the mouse's internal hardware as flagship-level. It combines a PixArt PAW 3955 Master sensor with a Nordic 54L-series main controller. This pairing is aimed at meeting the demanding tracking requirements of competitive gaming. The mouse uses ATK's own SwiftLight optical switches, which are designed to reduce latency and increase durability compared to traditional mechanical switches.

Key performance claims center on ultra-low latency. ATK states the mouse can achieve an end-to-end click latency as low as 0.181 milliseconds when using its Rapid Light Micro-motion technology in 8 kHz polling mode. The competitive firmware operates at up to 20,000 frames per second. The mouse supports 8000Hz polling in both its wired and wireless modes.

Battery and charging system

The headline feature is the integrated magnetic charging dock. This wireless dock doubles as a magnetic charging station and a storage stand, adding convenience to the wireless experience. The system supports automatic pairing between the mouse and the charging base, allowing for cable-free charging. A user simply places the mouse on the dock to initiate charging.

Powering the system is a 500mAh battery. ATK claims this battery can deliver up to 350 hours of use on a single charge when the mouse is set to a 1 kHz polling rate. This extended battery life is a key selling point for gamers who want high performance without frequent recharging.

Usage and availability

The mouse is aimed at gamers who want high polling rates without sacrificing wireless operation or long battery life. Its final weight is listed as 55 grams, with a variability of plus or minus 3 grams depending on whether the user applies the included dot skates or conventional mouse feet.

ATK has not provided broader availability details in its announcement. The product was announced directly by the company. The mouse is available for purchase on ATK's online store during a 10-day launch discount.
