Control Resonant PC Specs Reveal Wide Hardware Range
Remedy Entertainment has published the PC hardware requirements for Control Resonant, launching later in 2026.

Remedy Entertainment has officially detailed the PC hardware requirements for its upcoming game, Control Resonant. The studio published the specifications on September 10th, 2026, ahead of the game's launch later that year.
All listed configurations require 16 GB of system RAM and a 120 GB SSD, with Windows 10 or 11 as the operating system. The requirements span from entry-level hardware to new components needed for advanced graphical features.
Minimum and Recommended Hardware
The minimum specifications target 1080p resolution with low graphics settings. According to Remedy, this tier requires a GPU such as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A580. The paired CPU can be an Intel Core i5-8500 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3500.
For a 4K experience at high settings and 60 frames per second, the developer points to more powerful hardware. The company states this performance level can allegedly be achieved on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. This target requires using upscaling set to Performance mode and does not include ray tracing.
Path Tracing and Upscaling Support
The game's most demanding graphical mode is its "Enthusiast" path tracing preset. Remedy says this feature, which supports up to 4K resolution, calls for at least an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. The studio notes that no AMD graphics cards are supported for this specific preset.
Control Resonant will support modern upscaling and frame generation technologies at launch. The hardware page confirms integration for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.1. DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is also supported.
Additional Features and System Specs
Beyond core performance specs, Remedy confirmed several other PC features. The game will feature an uncapped framerate. It will also support HDR and ultra-wide monitor aspect ratios upon release.
The published requirements have sparked discussion online. Some commenters criticized the inclusion of upscaling as part of the official performance targets. One user stated, "I loathe upscaling being part of the actual settings presets." Another added they "hate how developers are using upscaling as an excuse to not put effort into optimizing their games."
Remedy has not commented on this feedback. The full hardware specifications, as listed by the developer, are shown in the table below.
| Preset / Target | GPU | CPU | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum (1080p Low) | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A580 | Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 | 16 GB RAM, 120 GB SSD required |
| 4K High 60 FPS | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT | Not specified | Uses Performance mode upscaling, no ray tracing |
| Enthusiast Path Tracing | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 | Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | 4K path tracing, no AMD GPU support for this preset |
The game's Steam page lists these requirements. Control Resonant is scheduled to launch later in 2026.
