HWiNFO 8.53 Beta Fixes NVIDIA Bugs

HWiNFO beta 8.53 fixes crashes and temperature readings for NVIDIA GPUs. It also improves RivaTuner integration and NZXT Kraken Elite V2 cooler support.

Components: HWiNFO beta 8.53 fixes crashes and temperature readings for NVIDIA GPUs

HWiNFO 8.53 Build 6065 beta was released on September 2, 2026. This pre-release update advances the testing branch from the previously monitored 8.51 series while stable HWiNFO remains at version 8.52.

RTSS Integration Enhanced

The update adds monitored process names to RTSS sensor titles. When the monitoring tool feeds sensor data to RivaTuner Statistics Server, the resulting title can now identify the associated monitored process. This should make on-screen monitoring easier to interpret when users track several applications or games.

NVIDIA Monitoring Corrections

NVIDIA monitoring receives two corrections. First, the software now includes a workaround for a crash in NVIDIA's NVML interface during a graphics-driver update. NVML supplies applications with GPU telemetry such as temperatures, utilization, clocks and power data. The workaround is intended to prevent the system monitor from failing when that interface becomes temporarily unavailable or changes state while a driver is being installed.

The second NVIDIA fix addresses negative temperature readings for individual GPU memory chips. Stable version 8.52 introduced per-chip VRAM temperature monitoring for supported NVIDIA GPUs using GDDR6X or GDDR7 memory. Build 6065 corrects cases where those readings could be displayed below zero because of invalid or improperly interpreted sensor data. This is a reporting fix and does not alter GPU cooling or thermal behavior.

NZXT Kraken Support Fixed

Support for NZXT Kraken Elite V2 liquid coolers has also been corrected. The diagnostic tool does not identify the precise failure mode, affected firmware versions or individual cooler models, so the change should be treated as a general device-detection or sensor-monitoring repair.

Beta Package Details

Build 6065 is distributed as a portable beta package containing HWiNFO32, HWiNFO64 and HWiNFO ARM64. The regular installer continues to provide stable version 8.52. HWiNFO64 and HWiNFO ARM64 support 64-bit Windows platforms, while HWiNFO32 remains available primarily for legacy systems.

No release-specific known issues are documented. As this is explicitly a beta build, users who prioritize stability should remain on version 8.52. Those affected by the NVIDIA temperature, NVML or Kraken Elite V2 problems may find the pre-release package useful, but should retain the stable archive in case a rollback is required.
