Lenovo has begun selling a new professional monitor that pairs a high-resolution, high-refresh-rate screen with extensive docking capabilities. The ThinkVision P27UD-40 was listed in China on September 4, 2026, at a price of CNY 3,999, which ITHome Digital reports is roughly equivalent to $596 using European Central Bank reference rates from that date.

Is a 27-inch IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 (4K) resolution. Unlike many professional displays limited to 60 Hz, this model supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz with an adaptive range from 24 to 120 Hz. Lenovo states this enables smoother motion for scrolling and animations while allowing compatible systems to lower the refresh rate for static content to save power.

The company specifies several key performance metrics for the panel.

SpecificationValue
Panel TypeWLED-backlit IPS
Refresh Rate24-120 Hz (adaptive)
Response Time4 ms (gray-to-gray)
Typical Brightness350 nits
Contrast Ratio1,500:1

Factory calibration targets a Delta E color accuracy rating below 2. Published gamut coverage reaches 99 percent of sRGB, 99 percent of BT.709, and 98 percent of DCI-P3 color spaces. The monitor carries several eye-comfort certifications, including TÜV Eye Comfort 5-star, Eyesafe 2.0, and TÜV hardware low-blue-light compliance.

Connectivity and Docking Hub

Connectivity is a major differentiator for this model. The display offers a comprehensive set of ports that function as a docking station. It includes HDMI 2.1, two DisplayPort 1.4 connections, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. One of the Thunderbolt 4 ports can deliver up to 140 watts of power, which is enough to charge many high-performance laptops while simultaneously carrying video and data signals. A separate USB-C port provides 15-watt charging.

The integrated hub expands connectivity further with three 5 Gbps USB-A ports, a 5 Gbps USB-B upstream connection, and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port. This setup allows a user to connect their laptop to wired networking, peripherals, power, and the display itself using a single Thunderbolt cable. ITHome Digital notes that buyers should verify their laptop supports the required Thunderbolt power profile, as the presence of a 140-watt output does not guarantee full-speed charging on every proprietary high-power notebook.

Multi-Input and Management Features

The monitor supports advanced multi-tasking features through its inputs. Picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes allow for the simultaneous use of multiple connected sources. Lenovo also includes KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) and electronic KVM functionality, enabling users to share connected peripherals between two different computers. For centralized control, the LADM management application provides software-based adjustment of monitor settings.

Physical Design and Availability

The stand offers extensive ergonomic adjustments. It provides 155 mm of height adjustment, tilt from -5 to 23.5 degrees, a 45-degree swivel in either direction, and a 90-degree pivot into portrait orientation. The monitor also features a standard 100 x 100 mm VESA mount pattern for alternative mounting solutions. Without its stand, the display measures 613.4 mm wide, 46 mm deep, and 357 mm tall, weighing approximately 6.8 kg.

As of the report, the ThinkVision P27UD-40 is listed only for the Chinese market. Lenovo has not confirmed equivalent pricing or availability for regions like Europe and North America.
