Minisforum has released the AtomMan G1 Pro-89A6, an all-AMD variant of its compact gaming PC. This new model replaces the GeForce RTX 5060 with a desktop-class Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card, pairing it with a 16-core Ryzen 9 8945HX processor. The system is housed in a 3.8-liter chassis measuring 215 x 57 x 315mm and weighs roughly 3.81 kilograms.

The Ryzen 9 8945HX is a Zen 4 mobile chip with 16 cores, 32 threads, and a maximum boost clock of 5.4GHz. Minisforum fits a 350W internal power supply inside the enclosure and uses its third-generation Glacier cooling system, rated for roughly 300W of total heat dissipation. The chassis includes multiple USB Type-A and Type-C ports.

Memory, storage, and connectivity

The Radeon RX 9060 XT comes with 16GB of graphics memory. System memory support tops out at 96GB of user-replaceable DDR5-5200 SO-DIMMs, providing more flexibility than soldered LPDDR.

Storage expansion comes via two PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe slots, each capable of accepting up to 4TB drives. A fully populated system can provide up to 8TB of internal NVMe storage. The U.S. Launch configuration includes 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Connectivity includes WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The machine has a 5 GbE LAN port. Display outputs on the Radeon version consist of two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and one DisplayPort 2.1.

Power, cooling, and design trade-offs

Cooling a combined CPU and GPU power draw of up to 240W in 3.8 liters requires high airflow. Minisforum permits a CPU power limit of up to 100W. The Radeon RX 9060 XT is configured for up to 140W, which is 20W below the reference edition's default thermal design power rating. This reduction reflects the thermal constraints of the compact enclosure.

The company fitted a compact version of the graphics card. The internal power supply avoids the need for a large external power brick. Acoustic behavior under sustained gaming will need independent testing. The unusual internal graphics format may also limit future GPU replacement despite using a desktop-class chip.

Pricing, positioning, and comparison

Minisforum priced the new Radeon configuration at $1,759 on its US store. This is down from a listed original price of $2,199. The previous GeForce RTX 5060 variant, with 8GB of memory, currently sells for approximately $1,719.

Doubling graphics memory to 16GB is the Radeon version’s clearest advantage. Additional VRAM can help at higher texture settings, in large content-creation projects, and for local GPU workloads. However, the RX 9060 XT is not automatically twice as fast as the RTX 5060. Ray-tracing, upscaling, and application support should be compared separately between the GPUs.

The company stated, "Minisforum expects the compact GPU to handle most modern titles at ultra settings in 1440p with frame rates approaching or exceeding 60 FPS." The system offers three performance modes, Beast, Gaming, and Office, accessible through a control center that also manages RGB lighting and fan profiles.

Final value depends on measured performance against larger desktops at the same price. It also hinges on factors like noise, service access, and warranty support. The European configuration costs €1,879. Shipments are expected to begin in late October 2026 for the U.S. Configuration and mid-October for European configurations via German warehouse.
